A very rare hardy terrestrial orchid hailing from the Himalayas. On 12-18" tall stems, it bares up to 15 rose-pink, 3/4" flowers. For growing it likes a moist but well drained partly shady spot. Like our native Epipactis gigantea, it slowly spreads by underground rhizomes. This jewel has been kindly shared to us by Kelly Dodson of Far Reaches Farm. I hate to undercut my friends but his are larger in gallon pots. Plus he has an absolute crazy assortment, meaning a crazy amount of choicest perennials. Crazy, and he knows it…
Shipped as bare root divisions thru March; then potted but not rooted-in thereafter. Later in spring and summer they'll be rooted in.
