A yet unnamed species found by Darrell Probst in the early 2000, with long, narrow and spiny leaves. These are dark in summer but emerge bronze-tinged in spring. Panicles of soft yellow, spidery flowers are held above the foliage. The clump of foliage can reach 12-15" (at least in Oregon; most other sources list 8-10") and the flower stems can add another 6-10".
