A lesser known but decidedly attractive fall bloomer form Turkey, where it grows in rocky slopes in pine forests. In cultivation same as C.cilicium and appearance close to it, but has broad petals, usually darker and the silver marking are more pronounced on the leaves, which are distinctively toothed. Needs excellent drainage and is well suited for pine under plantings.
