Amazingly dark, almost black indeed, lacking the "sign" (as in "graphes") almost completely. It's a smaller Iris, easy to integrate into a border and does best in a moist soil.

A charming plant for iris lovers with no sun. This is one of the darkest selections, each petal has a white patch and crest, with an orange mark. Contrary to some literature, this slow spreader is quite drought tolerant, especially in shade. New crop should be ready in April 2015.

A Siberian iris relative, in all parts smaller and daintier. The flowers are a mid-blue, falls are strongly veined. Grows in moderately spreading clumps. Likes average to wet soil or shallow water.

Cute is the first word that comes to mind. The light yellow standards almost touch each other at the top and are brown at the base. Re-blooms here throughout the summer into fall. Great for troughs and the rock garden. Likes a well drained soil.
