Notes About :Cyclamen

CYCLAMEN Extremely rewarding and showy group of tuberous plants with nodding flowers and reflexed petals. While the shiny, often patterned leaves emerge in fall, the flowers appear as early as January for C.coum and August for C.hederifolium. The leaves will stay into June and then disappear for a summer "nap". Both species like a humus-rich, well drained soil in light to full shade are one of the few plant that grow under fir trees. Avoid excessive summer moisture. All Cyclamen are grow in 2 3/8" square - 3 3/4" deep pots. SHIPPING: If you order just 6 Cyclamen by themselves, shipping will be no more than $10.00 anywhere in the US (The shopping cart is not able to generate this, but we will adjust the shipping cost manually)

A subspecies found from the eastern Black Sea coast to Northern Iran, differing from the species in that the leaves are often slightly toothed or scalloped. The flowers are less rounded and longer. They like a bit more light then the regular C. coum but still prefer shade in hotter climates.
